The Open Canvas

Fortune smiles upon me, a truth I hold dear,
For life itself is a treasure, sparkling and clear.
No need for grand gestures, or a path pre-defined,
The beauty of existence, a gift I can find.

Following blindly, a path not my own,
Leaders or doctrines, a seed never sown.
Inspiration's a spark, a fire to ignite,
But following others, extinguishes the light.

Openness, my compass, a journey unknown,
Embracing the sunrise, and seeds newly sown.
From leaders, I learn strength, from rain, cleansing grace,
The sunset's a reminder, of life's fleeting pace.

Buddha's compassion, a wisdom I hold,
But these are mere whispers, stories yet untold.
A newborn's blank canvas, a spirit so free,
I stand here authentic, the only me.

Inspired by all, yet following none,
This open heart welcomes, the journey begun.
